Boldly to the Throne

Hello and happy March first, everyone! Today I want to share with you a Bible verse that has been making its way into my life recently. That would be Hebrews chapter four, verse sixteen (Hebrews 4:16). It says the following: "So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most!" Two key words I want to focus on here at first glance. 1- Boldly

2- Will The first word being "boldly". Personally, when I think of that word, I imagine a person pushing their fear aside, ignoring the pressure and stepping up even though they know they might not overcome the challenge. If you don't have a challenge, then perhaps boldness is not required, and you simply enter into the scenario with confidence. However, I theorize that this is not the case here. Here, we see a more powerful form of boldness, Our Faith! You don't have to approach God in a form of courageousness which suggests a challenging like you would someone here on earth. Imagine a person standing up in a crowd of people, and loudly (boldly) stating what he thinks, or needs to a person who is promising to provide for others. God is not a mere person simply promising to provide, He is God who does provide and always provides. Since God always provides and always does what He says He's going to do, then what is this boldness we are told we can come to God with? The boldness is the confidence we have through our faith!

God is the ultimate power in the whole of all that is everything, He holds the keys to all the doors, He holds all your provisions in His hands, He knows all things past, present, and future. In a word, God is "Sovereign" Meaning He is above everything. Know what? This is a good thing! Those of us humans who have come into even the slightest bit of riches and power tend to Lord that power over others. Of course, that's not everyone I know, but the natural human condition certainly makes it difficult for things to not go to our heads and inflate our pride. Critical thing when that happens, and a very deep danger zone that we want to avoid when God entrusts you with much. Remember God wrapped Himself in flesh and came down as a human being to be amongst us and He said something truly key, "I have come to serve, not to be served"! That's a lesson in humility that we'll cover another day, however, With God being all powerful, us being in such need, sometimes we can feel a little desperate, in that desperation sometimes we get a little sad, and other times a bit angry. Okay, let's be honest, we can get very angry. Sometimes angry with God. This verse assures us of something very crucial during these critical human moments, which we all have faced, and will face again. The assurance that we have is that we can come boldly to God, not boldly as in with attitude, as if you need to assert yourself with God and demand your prayer and petition. It's a boldness that means we can be absolutely confident that God does in fact have the solution for what you're praying to God about at any given time. Right now, I want you to take a moment, think back on or presently on a need which you have had or are facing right now. Think about those needs and the frustration, worry, sadness or anger they may have or might be causing you. Now, I want you to think of this... You can let go of that anger, that worry, that desperation right now. You can be calm because God does have the solution you need. Even if you don't see it, you can absolutely be 100 percent certain that there is not a situation which God does not have a resolution for. God is also, as He promises, is always with you in every circumstance. He's never going to leave you in need, and He would never ignore your prayers to Him. He's a good, good father. He loves you; He cares for you, and you can ease your fear in the knowledge that when you go to Him, you're at the one place where you're guaranteed to come out of with a solution and a healing on the way. Coming boldly to the throne; I like to look at it this way: 1: I know He is for me

2: I know He loves me

3: I know that He has the solution I need

4: I know that when I pray He listens to me

5: I know that His solution is what is best for me

6: I can trust that God already has the journey mapped out

7: I can trust God in any and all circumstances no matter how deep or scary it can be We know this and we can support this with Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," says the lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, plans to give you a future and a hope." But wait, there's more! Jeremiah 29:12 "In those days you will pray, and I will listen".

Jeremiah 29:13 "If you look for Me wholeheartedly you will find me". You have some incredible assurances here! God has good plans for you, when you pray, He will listen, if you look for Him wholeheartedly you WILL find Him! Makes for a good motivation for you to calm your stresses when you know that God has these incredible promises over your life. You can take a deep breath; you can allow those fears to walk right out of your life. In the essence of today being March 1st, 2024, tell those annoyances to March right out of your life, because you KNOW that you have a God who is for you and not against you, who has a solution, and the perfect solution to any and all of your needs! Taking a quick look back on the 7 points I wrote out for you, keep in mind they all began with two key words:

"I know..." And that is the new attitude I want you to start practicing, and attitude that says "I know."

Confidence, calm, tranquil, assured. Knowing that no matter what you must face, you're going to come out on the other side with another victory in hand! The second word was the word "Will" I love how sure God is when He speaks to us. Can you imagine God saying, I WILL bless you!? What about the next sin I commit? What about the next person I offend? What about the next error I make? What about the next.... HEY! STOP RIGHT THERE! Have you ever had those similar thoughts? So contradictory, so negative, so detaining. Remember when I said to you here that God knows your future, He knows every single wrong choice you're going to make. A father will never leave their child starving just because they misbehave, and neither will God. Sure, you'll get a good talking to and some much-needed correction, but God will not leave you hurting or broken when you come to Him wholeheartedly in need. Remember, Hebrews 4:16 says you WILL find mercy in God, it's a sure sentence, not a consideration, but a direct statement. It's clear, it's true, it's God's word! So, there you have it. I want you to think on what was said here, and practice bringing to mind all the promise of God, the confidence that you can have going to the throne, the calm you can have knowing that when you talk to God He listens, and He has the solution you need, and the His solution is always what is best for your life. I want you to remember that God absolutely will respond to you, and He absolutely WILL not leave you in need. I want you to tell those worries and stresses to March right out of your life, because you know that God is there with you through all things, and that He will be with you for the rest of your life.

Hold onto this, let it take root in your life, and now you have a refreshed understanding of what it means to come Boldly to the Throne!
